I got this tie ring to work with my horse on standing for hoof-trimming. He foundered last year and now has some sensitivity to foot handling that he did not have before.This is a well-built product that allows easy tie-down for me, and a little comfortable freedom for him. It arrived with a carabiner and eyelet screw and installed easily in a 4×4 post in my barn. I drilled a hole slightly smaller that the eyelet screw shaft and twisted it in easily. The carabiner allows me to easily move the tie-ring to another location as needed.The magnet is strong enough to hold the lead in place, but light enough to allow me to one-hand the release. I have a couple of knots in my lead to allow a couple of feet of play without letting him fully pull the lead loose. His re-training is going well!
